The Rescue Train is seeking individuals that can offer safe and loving foster homes that will temporarily care for our rescued dogs and cats until we get the animal into their forever home. We also know that those who choose to foster will have one of the most rewarding experiences of a life time.
Previous experience is not needed but will be considered when matching an animal with a foster home. We come with a lot of experience and education. We are very protective of our rescues and are looking for individuals who will take their well being as seriously as we do. It is always our goal to set up safe and successful foster homes.
Dogs and cats in foster care still belong to The Rescue Train, so we provide food and veterinary care while the foster animal remains up for adoption. We do need the animals to be available for private adoption appointments and mobile events. We try to make it as easy and convenient for foster homes and their busy schedules.
By socializing and offering some basic training to these animals, YOU will make this dog or cat a more attractive candidate to a potential adopter. Some homeless animals have fended for themselves on the street and need to learn to trust again. Others have spent too much time confined in a shelter or boarding and will need lots of opportunity to play and start living their lives outside of a cage.
The hard fact is the more foster homes we have the more lives we can save!
Fostering is good for the soul!
